This design for a 4 bedroom family house on the coast of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, creates a home that hugs low to the ground to help it weather the harsh Arctic winter. Steeply pitched metal roofs enable the building to shed snow in the winter. Large panoramic windows allow the internal spaces to take advantage of the spectacular coastal view.
